Who is responsible

What we use and why

• Order details, contact information and delivery address to take payment, deliver purchases, provide support and handle returns. The legal basis is our contract with you.
• Order, payment, refund and accounting records to meet legal obligations.
• Security and technical records to protect the service and prevent misuse, based on our legitimate interests.
• We do not send marketing email or use advertising or analytics trackers on this storefront. We will ask for consent where required before adding non-essential tracking or marketing.

Who receives information

We share only what is needed with Stripe to take card payments, Royal Mail or another named carrier to deliver parcels, and our website hosting and email providers to operate the store and contact you. Aura Alchemy does not receive or store full card numbers; payment is entered on Stripe Checkout. Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we use a transfer mechanism required by UK data protection law and can provide details on request.

Cookies and browser storage

The basket is stored in your browser so it is available when you return. A necessary session supports checkout security. These are used to provide the service you ask for. Non-essential analytics and advertising storage is not enabled on this storefront.

How long we keep information

We keep order and accounting records for at least six years from the end of the relevant company financial year, or longer where a legal enquiry or claim requires it. We keep other support messages only as long as needed to resolve them and associated complaints, then securely delete them.

Your rights and complaints

You can ask us to access or correct your information, or ask for deletion, restriction, portability or object where the law gives you that right. Some records must be retained for legal reasons. Newsletter and promotional codes

Newsletter signup is optional and separate from checkout and account creation. We record your email, confirmation and consent history to send requested news and offers. Verification links expire and personal welcome codes have their stated eligibility, expiry and redemption limits. You can unsubscribe through an email link without an account, or contact us. We keep necessary consent, opt-out and discount-redemption records to respect preferences and prevent repeated welcome claims. Order and account emails are separate. Hosting and mail services process these messages on our behalf. Temporary pseudonymous request records help prevent abuse.

Optional customer accounts

If you choose an account, we store your verified email, password hash, name, optional delivery address and favourite product references. Your verified account can show matching guest orders and their return updates. Account emails are for sign-in, confirmation and password recovery; creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing. Account details are private and access is restricted. You can close the account in My details; order and return records are retained separately where required for business and legal obligations. Contact us about access, correction or erasure requests.
